Lead Pastor - Mike Cottrell

Mike Cottrell has been the lead pastor at Westlake Church for three years. One of his passions is helping people take their next step toward full devotion to Christ. Mike enjoys having opportunities to share God's truth with people in ways they can understand and apply to their everyday life. Mike has been married to his wife, Sherrie for more than 26 years. They have two wonderful daughters - Sarah Davi and Kayla Danielle. Mike is a Colts fan and enjoys playing softball, golf, football, basketball, and working out.


Discipleship & Groups Pastor - Craig Knisley

My name is Craig Knisley and I've been on staff at Westlake for 11 years.  I'm married to Kelli and have two awesome boys, Brady and Ben.  My role at Westlake is to help people get connected to the church and encourage people to take the next step in their relationship with God.  I love Colts football, IU basketball, and Cubs baseball.  In my spare time I enjoy traveling and playing golf, basketball, and softball.


Worship Arts Pastor - James Hume

My name is James Hume and I've been the worship arts pastor at Westlake church since June of 2008. I really enjoy walking through life with other people as we learn and grow together. I was raised in southern California and I attended Anderson University where I met my wife Gretchen. We were married on April Fools day in 2000. (keep your comments to yourself please :) We have three children...Emma , Elliott & Jackson.


Youth Pastor - Melissa Chastain

I'm Melissa Chastain and I am the Youth Pastor here at Westlake.  My desire is to see students grow in there relationship with Christ.  I am married to Don and we have 3 children; Drew, Emmalee and Evan and a Yellow Lab "Estes". We love to travel to Colorado and ski wherever there is snow.  In my free time I like to exercise, browse Target or sit at Starbucks.  My favorite drink is a Tall-Skinny-Hazelnut- Latte!


Children's Pastor - Sherrie Cottrell

My name is Sherrie Cottrell and I've been on staff at Westlake for 3 years.  I'm married to Mike and have two awesome daughters, Sarah and Kayla.  My role at Westlake is to coordinate Children’s Ministries and teach the children that Jesus loves them and wants a personal relationship with them and help them take the next steps in that relationship.  I love children and spending time with them.  I like to read, take walks, play golf and listen to music.


Executive Pastor - Jim O'Bold

I'm the rookie on staff, but have attended Westlake for the past 29 years.  Although I'm a lay minister, my calling is to be in vocational ministry in God's timing.  I currently work at First Merchants Bank in Business Development.  I attended Anderson University where I met my wife of 23 years, Felisia, and we have three sons, Kevin, Paul, and Brent.  I enjoy my family most of all, then involvment in ministry, golf and basketball.


Facilities Pastor - Tim Ransom

My name is Tim Ransom, I have been coming to Westlake for around 15 years! I have been in charge of the Building Grounds and Maintenance for around 2 years. I have been married to my lovely wife Marsha for over 20 years and we have 2 kids Haley (13) and Aaron (9), in which I have been enjoying watching them grow up!
My hobbies include softball and basketball and watching the Colts and Nascar on TV. I also love motorcycles and hope to have another one someday, if not here I hope there is a Harley waiting for me in Heaven!

Office Administrator - Gail Wills

Gail grew up in London, England and has lived and worked in Frankfurt, Germany and Knoxville, Tennessee before moving to Indianapolis in March 2004 with her husband, Dave and two children, Savannah and Nicholas.  Gail made Westlake her church home when she began working in the church office in April 2004 and enjoys being involved in the life of the church both on Sunday's and during the week.

My name is Yosef Desta and I have been the Pastor of the Indianapolis Grace Ethiopian Church (we use Westlake facilities) since its establishment in February 2008.   I am married to Bethlehem and we have one daughter, Beza.  I believe that God called us to Indianapolis not only for Ethiopians and Eritrean, but also for unchurched people.  I have a strong passion to preach the good news of the Gospel to all.    www.ethioindy.com
